Happy birthday Grace!

A birthday in Seoul...not soon forgotten!
Celebrated with a stop at Ice Berry for some cold treats. Below is patbingsu, a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit, condensed milk and red bean paste. DE LIC IOUS!

  1. Of course we could not forget it was Grace's birthday! The shaved ice cream place was amazing! There was so many options to choose from. The had from regular ice cream to walffles with ice cream. Something we do not originally see here in the U.S. I personally loved the shaved ice cream with the condensed milk I thought it was very delicious, the natural fruit balanced out all the sweetness in the bowl. I also tried a smoothie which was very tasteful, it was very fresh and natural, not too sweet but not too blend, it was just perfect. Amazing way to celebrate a birthday on a hot summer day!

    1. I agree. The waffles for dessert seems so weird to Americans, since we have them for breakfast; but technically, they are just carbs and sugar! =D

  2. Thank you guys so much for making my birthday special. The ice cream place that we went to was so good and I got to try a couple of different dishes. I ordered a waffle with whipped cream and fruit folded up inside of it. It was really tasty and interestingly, it had tomatoes on it along with the rest of the fruit. Although I know tomatoes are technically fruits but we treat them so much like vegetables here it was a shock to see them actually used as fruit! I didn't particularly like the mix of whipped cream and tomatoes, but I'm sure I could get used to it after a little while!

  3. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE FOOD. But of course, I'm a huge fruit-person, haha. =) The bing su was a dish with shaved ice (possibly with some vanilla in it?) and tons of fresh fruit dumped on top. I went back for seconds. =)
