Eleven Days Away From Korea
Finishing the final preparations for our class to travel to South Korea May 16. Thanks to Zach for bringing some delicious kimchi to class and for everyone's food history presentations. We are all looking foward to eating lots of tasty Korean dishes, and especially trying new foods. The itinerary will soon be updated on the blog so that you can see all the details. Everyone downloaded the Kakao Talk app so that we can communicate while in Seoul. That turned out to be so much fun with all the fun Kakao emojis. What are you looking forward to the most? For me - bike ride on the Han with ChiMac; trying army stew, going to the Hello Kitty Cafe with Cleveland!

Looking forward to traveling with this group
Wow - we have an awesome group. Everyone is so open to exploring and trying new things. I think we'll have a wonderful time together. Just booked some great food tours for us - BBQ, Korean pancakes and patbingsu on our first full day in Korea for our night food tour - we'll be eating our way through the university district.
First night of class
Trying some Korean snacks - I think I like the savory snacks best - especially the shrimp one, but I also like the corn snack that tastes like Bugles, but less salty.
