Had a great time tasting a variety of Korean dishes at Sobahn Restaurant tonight. I look forward to eating these and other meals in Korea soon. I'm putting together my list of "must try" foods. This group could not be more awesome - very excited to travel with them.
I really enjoyed eating at the restaurant. This was my first experience with Korean food and I am glad to say that I enjoyed everything that I ate. I was a huge fan of the Tteokbokki and I am excited to expirence it more in South Korea. I was woried about not liking the food beforehand but I am definitely relived because it was fantastic. This experience made me very excited for our trip. 32 days til we leave!
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed all of the food. The only one I did not like was the radish. I need to work on my chopstick skills, luckily we will always have a spoon handy. I loved the spicy chicken and the beef. The beef was sweet which I loved!
ReplyDeleteI loved how we all ran into each other at the grocery store after dinner! Especially not knowing any of us were going there! It makes me even more excited to travel with you all!

This was the first time that I have been to a Koren Restaurant and it was amazing!! I loved everything that we had. Eating here makes me think about what differences that we will find in food in South Korea vs here.
ReplyDeleteEating here has made me even more excited for the trip!
This visit was my second time eating at Korean restaurant. However, the two experiences were different. The first one was at Saudi Arabia. The Korean restaurant was seafood, but the foods and cultures were affected by Saudi’s culture. For example, they never gave the chopstick with food. Also, each single table is separated with partition. I really like both Korean restaurants at Saudi and USA. But the one at USA seems to me the most Korean style. These differences make me want to travel and see the original Korean food and culture.

All of the food was super delicious, especially the bulgogi and veggie pancake! This was my first time eating Korean food and it was a relief- I have no doubt I can eat food like that for a week and have no complaints. The biggest issue I might see myself having is having to eat with the stainless steel chopsticks but I'm up to the challenge. Everything I write seems to end this way but I am so excited to get to South Korea and experience all of this first hand. T-minus 26 days!!!
