  1. the food I tasted was a lot better than what i expected. there was a lot of unfamiliar taste along with pungent spices. the bread that was given along with the food was also good and a great sidekick to the meat and vegetables on the main palate. i knew i was pretty open to accepting other culture's food so it was pretty easy to accept the food that was given. the mango juice that was given was very delicious. it was sweet along with the mild taste of mango that smooth the taste of the spicy food. there was food on the palate that had similar looks and taste to american food but there was a distinction from what i know and what the food actually was. i overall enjoyed the food except the collard green, lamb, and cabbage and that is because i do not enjoy the taste of those specific foods. i would recommend this culture's food to others that have not tried it and i myself would come back to taste other food from this culture. i would warn those that have not tried Ethiopian food that the food has varying levels of spiciness. i learned that their food is heavily based on spices and has a lot of colors. the food was good.
