Food Packaging

Professor Winter gave the class lots to think about in his lecture on food packaging design.  Fonts, colors, shapes - unfortunately, it will now take me twice as long to shop at the grocery store, as I peruse the packages.  Here are two interesting ones.  I'm a sucker for the beautiful packages.  Good thing I do most of my shopping at the farmer's market -not much packaging there.
Can you guess what it is?

Cute Baby Food Jars - it's the mouth and eyes that got me

    2. The sausages can strike an interest to someone's eyes, but I don't know about the taste. They might be good. I've never seen them before at the market. I would like to know what information everyone can come up with about these sausages. Are they...sausages...?

    3. I love how product packaging can inspire a conversation. Sausages, hot dogs or tubes of molding clay...who cares. The best thing is that we all stopped, looked, examined and then talked about it. I love marketing and all the layers it has to bring people together into a conversation!!

    4. I grew up with Red colored hot dogs. To this day, when I go home I am always wanting them. They do not taste any different, for me it is just the memories.

  3. I found the presentation interesting! Everywhere I've gone since then, I've been analyzing all of the placement and packaging I've been seeing on items for sale, not just food, but everything. In fact, the color meaning one helped me today at work when I designed a presentation.
