First dinner in Korea

We are so tired from 20 hours of airports and airplanes and a 40 min train ride to Seoul, but we are here.  Checked into the hotel and walked to this little restaurant for dinner.  We all look forward to sleeping in a bed instead of an airplane seat.

  3. I guess I will start here at the beginning.
After a long flight with some unexpected excitement of a man passing out on the flight and many of us tired from the jet lag we got to experience some next cultural dishes. I was shocked that the fish dish was served cold and very very spicy. It was a nice change to a traditional warm cooked fish dish.

    1. We all look so exhausted after a long flight. I know I was ready for a nap! But it was definitely worth it because being able to go to Seoul was a wonder experience. The food was very different than what I am usually used to

    2. Yes, I concur. The food was very different from what we were used to. But to an extent, it was a welcome change!

  4. The potato dumplings at this restaurant were outstanding; and it was a great first time to practice my use of chopsticks. Overall, I will say that this food was my favorite. But of course, the first time usually is the unbeatable!

    1. Did they put potato inside the dumplings or use potato to make the wrapper?

  5. As a frequent international traveler, the flight took us to South Korea didn’t actually bother me a lot. The true challenge for these long time flight are mostly emotional. People feel differently on the flight back home with the flight take you to work or school. This time we were about to experience a whole new country in the other side of the world so that wasn’t a problem. I still have mixed feelings though, South Korea is just 2 hours from my home in Beijing, first time to be this close to home yet still so far from it in years. As our first dinner, I remember that I ordered some kind of spicy cold fish noodle. The flavor is much stronger than any Korean food I have ever had in any country. Just like what I thought, cannot judge something quick before really access to it personally.
