Aardman animation exhibit was amazing

We had an opportunity to visit and animation exhibit at the  Dongdaemun  Design Plaza. It was an amazing exhibit. Although it was about a British animation team it reminds us that we learned in class how much animation for American television is done in Korea. So there is a great interest in animation here.

  1. It was crazy to see things in person that I had watched on screens for years. I loved all of the claymation sets and materials. They had so much detail. I definitely didn't appreciate the amount of detail when I was a kid, but I can appreciate the time and energy of claymation now. Who knew this exhibit was in South Korea?!

  2. I grew up watching Wallace and Gromit, so to see the process and history behind the studio was awesome. I was surprised how many films I didn’t recognize out of Aardman Animations. My favorite part of the exhibition was seeing the sets and how detailed they were.

  3. Chicken Run scared the poop out of me as a child. I felt proud overcoming my childhood fears haha. The exhibit was very well done. I specifically loved seeing the huge ship at the end.
