This was the most beautiful place I have ever been to (even though it was pouring rain). At first I thought the palace was just a few buildings, then I kept finding more and more and learned how complex and huge this palace actually was. It was burnt down and rebuilt several times but still felt like it's original self thousands of years ago. The colors were beautiful and the shapes and sizes of the buildings are everything I have ever seen in movies.
The palace was incredible. The architecture was stunning. I wish we were able to go inside the buildings though. I’m glad we got to see most of it before the rain started. though one of my favorite photos I took of the trip was the main open section as the rain poured down on us. Falling and getting myself soaked as we ran to the museum was funny...
The architecture style and colors of the palace were amazing It worth the visit and the long walk to reach it. The palace garden style was great but with the rainy day, I could not enjoy it. I saw some Korean people around the palace wore the traditional Korean clothes.
The palace was absolutely breathtaking even on such a gloomy day. It was really cool to get to see people wandering around in traditional hanbok on the palace grounds. Despite the torrential downpour this day was so much fun and so memorable!
This was one of the places that I really wish we had more time to explore. The detail of the buildings was breathtaking. I loved the mix of the old and new, where you felt like you were walking through a different time period but then you look out and you see the new buildings. I hope next time I come here I will be wearing a Hanbok :)
The rain made the palace so much fun. It totally added to the experience. The old sewage system really intrigued me. I also enjoyed learning about them heating the buildings from the bottom.

DeleteI was really surprised by the size of the palace as well. Every time I saw a building I expected that to be the last one but it never was.
